While Traditional Chinese Medicine (TCM) is not a replacement for conventional cancer treatment, it can play a valuable supportive role throughout the cancer journey.

In TCM, cancer may arise from internal factors such as weakened organ function, stagnantion of Qi and blood, or a constitution prone to illness. External factors like emotional stress, poor diet, environmental toxins, and chronic conditions can further burden the body. Over time, these internal and external factors accumulate, disrupting the body’s natural balance and increasing the risk of developing illnesses such as cancer.

Holistic Approach to Cancer Management
TCM views cancer holistically, focusing on restoring the body’s overall balance rather than targeting a single organ or symptom. TCM cancer management does not focus solely on the affected organ (e.g. liver or lung), but rather aims to:

  • Relieve pain and symptoms holistically

  • Strengthen the body’s resistance

  • Supports the body’s ability to eliminate pathogenic (cancerous) factors
